Western District of Texas
The Western District of Texas covers an area over 91,000 square miles and comprises seven divisions. It is an honor to serve the judges, the bar of this Court, and the members of the public in this great district. The Clerk of Court is charged with maintaining court records, providing case information, explaining and publicizing court procedures, providing courtroom and case management support, and administratively supporting the Court.
Office of the Federal Public Defender
The Office of the Federal Public Defender, Western District of Texas, operates under authority of the Criminal Justice Act of 1964 (CJA), 18 U.S.C. § 3006A. It provides defense services in federal criminal cases and other covered matters to individuals who are financially unable to obtain adequate representation.
